We are pleased to announce that Akitsushima - The Land of Dragonflies is honoured to join the Japanese Armor Society (JAS) , the Western branch of The Nihon Katchu Bugu Kenkyu Hozon Kai (NKBKHK) - The Association for the Research and Preservation of the Japanese Helmets and Armour .

This is an example of the Edo period craftsmanship masterpiece - A tetsu sabiji   roku-ji-ni-ken   nami-suji kabuto*  (helmet bowl with 62 wavy ribs) signed insight with the inscription: Myochin Muneyasu  saku, Tenpo 14, mizunoto-nen, hachigatsu kichiijitsu , dating the pieceto August 1843 and attributing it to the renowned armourer Myochin Muneyasu.
